Sacristy Cabinet

The Cabinet of Treasures

The public is prohibited from entering the sacristy. This is where priests prepare for Mass and dress in their liturgical vestments. The large cabinet in front of you, divided into two parts, contains almost all of the ceremonial objects, including all sacred tableware. Each of the drawers and doors is clearly labeled to make our sacristan’s job easier. In our congregation, this position was often held by a novice . The sacristy was built just before the chapels were rebuilt in 1902.
