Marie of the Incarnation

Mother of the Canadian Church

Have you noticed this bronze statue anywhere else in Quebec City? This version happens to be a copy of the one niched in the Parliament Building. It distinguishes Marie of the Incarnation among those recognized by the Quebec government as one of the founders of modern day Quebec. Our Mary of the Incarnation was a spiritual pillar for Quebec and for all of New France. Despite the many hardships she faced throughout her life, Saint Marie of the Incarnation was unceasingly dedicated to her calling.
