The Call of the New World

When she was still living in Tours, Marie of the Incarnation dreamed of a vast country, covered in fog, and a little church shining through the surrounding darkness. Many years passed before she would understand the significance of her dream: God wanted her to cross the ocean to New France and build a monastery to Jesus and Mary. Her path led her to Quebec City, and to the young Native American women, where she founded the Monastery you are visiting today.
